Primeline Group has been named winner of the Green Logistics & Transport Company Award at the Green Awards 2026, recognised earlier this year for a clear, data-driven approach to sustainable logistics that has delivered measurable emissions reductions, significant operational savings, and external recognition that reinforces the credibility of its environmental programme.
The award, announced on 24 February 2026 at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, reflects a business that has embedded sustainability into its operations with the same rigour it brings to commercial performance.
Between 2023 and 2025, Primeline Group cut its CO₂ intensity by 34 percent, reached 73 percent HVO use across its fleet, and achieved 100 percent renewable electricity across its operations. These are not incremental gains but the result of a clearly defined sustainability plan that has been in place since 2023 and executed with consistency and discipline. Over €285,000 in operational savings and EcoVadis Silver status provide further evidence of a programme delivering results that are both environmental and commercially meaningful.
The cultural dimension of Primeline's submission was equally notable. Innovative internal initiatives and wider stakeholder engagement demonstrated an organisation where sustainability is not confined to a dedicated team but is understood and supported across the business, reinforcing the long-term viability of the programme beyond any single reporting period.
Judges were direct in their assessment. "Emissions reductions delivered through the adoption of HVO, combined with strong external recognition, showed real progress backed by credibility. Sustainability is transparently embedded across the business, supported by innovative cultural initiatives, wider engagement, and a clearly defined plan in place since 2023. With measurable results and ambitious future goals, this entrant demonstrated a business built to lead the transition to lower-carbon transport," the panel stated.
The Green Logistics & Transport Company Award recognises organisations in Ireland's logistics and transport sector that can demonstrate concrete, measurable progress toward a more sustainable operation. Primeline Group has met that standard comprehensively, setting a benchmark that others across the sector will look to as evidence of what disciplined, long-term commitment to low-carbon logistics can achieve.
As the Green Awards near their two-decade milestone, Primeline Group takes its place among a cohort of winners proving that Ireland's transport sector is already well into its sustainability transition, driven by companies with the data, the ambition, and the operational capability to deliver it.
