As the Green Awards enters it’s 18th year, the good news is we are back again to continue Ireland’s premier and original sustainability event

As you know, our mission is about Economic Opportunity but have a very particular focus on sustainability so far better to showcase and determine our commitment to sustainability.

Event like this is that we meet our client, we meet people who we like to do business with.

We were absolutely surprised. And we were delighted to win the award tonight. And we're just incredibly proud on behalf of all of An Post.

It’s fantastic accolades for the brand. John Staunton Thorntons Recycling brand, family owned business. So, we're very, very pleased to win the award.

We have entered these awards for a number of years now. It has allowed us to be inspired by best-in-class companies and we are delighted to have won Sustainability Team of the Year this year and to see our efforts recognised on such a distinguished platform.

This is our 2nd year sponsoring and the whole green agenda is very important to Bord na Móna as we have with sustainability at the center of our strategy and so we want to encourage and enable other companies to go in that direction also.

It’s very important being involved on these categories and sponsoring one of these events because it’s back into a corporate strategy and obviously it lives back to decarbonizing the grid.

It’s really important for our business to be here as a sponsor tonight. It’s a who’s who of Irish sustainability Champions and we’re really proud to be sponsors of the event .

It’s important to honour hard work and endeavour, and creativity, so the competition is good because it makes it special, makes it prized, makes it a real reward for the hard work that is going on.

We were shocked and delighted and it’s just such an honour because I think the group we were shortlisted with were really topnotch so that just made the win even more special.

It’s very important to recognise the efforts that people are putting in and to market with an award ceremony like this it really illustrates to everybody how important that activity is

Bord na Mona is the largest producer of green electricity in the Irish market today. So a lot of these companies are potentially customers for us in that space of green electricity. So getting our brand out there, getting our name out there, and what we do is really, really important, and events like this provide us with the opportunity to do that.

I think it's really vital, particularly at the times that we find ourselves to see companies, non state actors, cities, different types of organization, really putting themselves forward and showing what they doing around sustainability.

Energy Group plays a leading role in the energy transition across the island of Ireland, and we're delighted to be here supporting the green awards. It's really the premier sustainability awards initiative across the island of Ireland. So it's fantastic to be on this platform with them as part of the green awards in 2025.

The green awards are really critical for us to really bring a focus on the importance of water and valuing water. The opportunity tonight is to put a spotlight on the water stewardship program and invite companies to get involved.

It's interesting to see the variety of partners and companies who attend here all challenging with durability issues. And there are solutions with a wide range of worldwide products we can enable clients to help them with their challenges, to become more sustainable.

We are thrilled, absolutely thrilled to win tonight. It's a wonderful night out and a great event, and the room is just filled with such incredible people all work and trying to make a real difference. So fantastic.

Winning the award, I mean, it gives us internal recognition that what we're doing is industry leading, and I hope it sets an example of how we can deal with waste in the manufacturing industry.

I think it's, well, it's really important for us, because we're actually trying to look to move into other industry sectors as well, such as the way hotels and gyms, and I think this will be really important from a technology point of view.

Yeah, we were delighted to win our award. It's our first time to enter as a company, and you know, it's great to benchmark ourselves against other industry peers.

We were actually delighted. We really didn't expect it first time entering the awards. Green awards is fantastic for us. It's fantastic for our team to get that recognition.

It was unreal tonight. And all the winners and four awards where we're absolutely static or late, like it really drives innovation. So in the sustainability group, I think, I think it's an excellent system. So yeah, we'll be looking forward to it again next year
