Dublin-based sustainable mobility company KINTO Join Ltd. has saved almost 1.9 million kilometres worth of transport emissions across Europe since 2024, equivalent to over 275,100kg of CO2, while facilitating more than 126,000 verified sustainable commuting journeys and removing 137,800 single-occupancy vehicles from European roads.

As reported by Irish Tech News, in Ireland specifically, the company has saved 32,600km worth of carbon emissions over two years, equating to 3,000kg of CO2. In the last six months alone, KINTO Join trebled its CO2 savings in Ireland, driven by a rapidly expanding client base that now includes county councils, hospitals, and universities such as Munster Technological University.

Patrizia Niehaus, CEO of KINTO Join Ltd., said: "Organisations are constantly looking for ways to reduce their emissions, and yet, the daily commute remains one of the most overlooked opportunities. Companies don't have to wait for large-scale infrastructure changes or flexible working mandates to make a difference. There are simple, practical solutions available today, from shared carpooling to shuttle buses, delivering real, measurable results."

The company plans to double its Irish customer base by year-end and continues to expand following the 2025 launch of ZERO by KINTO, an end-to-end solution combining sustainability consultancy with an ESG reporting platform and the KINTO Join app. The platform is designed to help organisations reduce Scope 3 transport emissions through structured shared mobility programmes.

Scope 3 emissions, those generated across a company's value chain, including employee commuting are increasingly subject to mandatory reporting requirements under frameworks such as the European Sustainability Reporting Standards, making commuter decarbonisation a growing priority for organisations of all sizes.
