Irish sustainability consultancy firms Antaris and Pragmatica are to merge, with the companies to operate under the umbrella of Limerick-based Antaris, the firms announced.

As reported by the Irish Examiner, Cork, Dublin and Kildare-based Pragmatica joins Antaris, which employs 18 staff, to create a national agency providing services to Irish businesses facing increasing pressure from evolving global regulations, alongside broader geopolitical and economic uncertainty.

The merger positions the combined entity to deliver sustainability consultancy services across multiple locations in Ireland. The national reach enables the firms to serve clients requiring expertise in navigating complex regulatory landscapes whilst addressing sustainability challenges.

Irish businesses are experiencing mounting pressure to comply with evolving environmental, social and governance regulations at both European Union and global levels. The merger responds to demand for specialist consultancy services helping organisations meet reporting requirements and operational sustainability standards.

Antaris operates from Limerick whilst Pragmatica maintains presence across Cork, Dublin and Kildare. The combined organisation will leverage expertise from both firms to support clients adapting to regulatory changes and implementing sustainability strategies.

The sustainability consultancy sector in Ireland has expanded in response to increasing corporate requirements for environmental reporting and compliance with climate-related regulations. The merger reflects consolidation within the professional services market as firms scale operations to meet growing client demand.

Details of the combined workforce size, client portfolio and operational integration timeline were not disclosed. The merged entity will continue operating under the Antaris brand whilst serving businesses across Ireland requiring sustainability consultancy and regulatory compliance support.
