Carbon capture retrofit in Norway sets the pace for sustainable waste-to-energy

A $31.6M investment led by Frontier and backed by Stripe, Alphabet, and other major players is transforming Norway’s largest waste incineration plant into a model for carbon capture innovation. The retrofit will prevent 350,000 metric tons of CO₂ emissions annually—captured, transported, and permanently stored under the North Sea.
