This award is open to any organisation in Ireland that has made improvements or used innovative methods to result in water savings or water quality improvement. The judges will want to know everything you do in order to reduce your water usage. You must explain what you have achieved so far, particularly over the last 12 months, and what you hope to achieve in the future. And we need to see evidence of an overall strategy that sets out your targets and how you plan to achieve them and hard statistics demonstrating year-on-year comparisons. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for a clear plan and evidence that it is delivering on core objectives, paying particular attention to the criteria listed below.
- Organisation Background: Briefly describe your organisation’s size, type, annual water use, and any relevant water management certifications or benchmarks.
- Strategy Overview: Summarise your sustainable water strategy, including its goals and measurable targets.
- Implementation: Describe how you have put your strategy into action, including steps taken to manage water responsibly and any innovative methods used.
- Commitment: Explain how you train and involve staff in water-saving efforts and the level of support from your organisation.
- Outcomes & Results: Highlight the benefits of your water initiatives with statistics showing year-on-year improvements and how you measured these results.
- Future Goals: Outline your future plans for further water savings and improvements.
