This award will recognise the organisation on the island of Ireland that can best demonstrate a clear and measurable commitment to minimising the environmental impact of the packaging it uses. Please note: this award is not open to packaging suppliers or solution providers. It is intended for organisations that use packaging in the course of their operations. The judges will want to understand your overall approach to reducing packaging’s environmental footprint. We are looking for evidence of a clear strategy, measurable progress, and tangible results. Your entry should show targets, actions, achievements to date, and data-driven results with year-on-year comparisons wherever possible. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for a clear plan and evidence that it is delivering on core objectives, paying particular attention to the criteria listed below.

  • Strategy: Outline your overall sustainable packaging strategy, including how it was developed, its objectives, and the people/team responsible for driving it.
  • Commitments: Describe the measures your organisation has taken to date to improve the sustainability of your packaging (with particular emphasis on the past 12 months) and your future plans in this area.
  • Innovation: Highlight any unique initiatives, processes, or approaches employed by your organisation (or in collaboration with suppliers) to improve packaging sustainability.
  • Stakeholder Involvement: Explain how you engage with suppliers, partners, and key stakeholders to achieve your packaging sustainability objectives.
  • Outcomes & Results: Summarise the outcomes of your efforts so far. Provide measurable data where possible, showing progress and year-on-year improvements.
