Trump Administration Targets $20 Billion in Climate Funding

The Trump administration is moving to claw back $20 billion in funding allocated to climate and clean energy initiatives, a move critics call unconstitutional and politically motivated. The money, part of Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, was already awarded to nonprofits and community groups for projects like EV charging stations, home heat pumps, and community cooling centers.

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin argues this funding was funneled to "far-left activist groups" without accountability, while Republicans label the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund a "slush fund." Clean energy advocates counter that this rollback would derail emissions cuts and face legal challenges.

Is this a policy shift or political theater? Read the full breakdown here.
