Ecorobotix, a Switzerland-based turfcare technology company, has formed a multi-year collaboration with GEO Sustainable Golf Foundation as it expands into the global golf market, the company announced.

As reported by Golf Business News, the partnership supports the launch of ALBA, Ecorobotix's ultra-high precision turfgrass application equipment currently being showcased at BIGGA and GCSAA industry events across Europe and the United States. The technology combines custom software and hardware to reduce inputs into turfgrass by as much as 90%.

The Swiss firm joins a portfolio of industry stakeholders already connected through GEO Foundation's collaborative network, including national and international associations, tours, companies, clubs, developments, tournaments and players.

Claude Juriens, chief executive of Ecorobotix, said 2026 marks an exciting year for the company as it enters the global golf market with technology that has a proven track record across agriculture, now fully adapted for fine turf. He added that collaborating with GEO Foundation demonstrates the company's commitment to the importance of sustainability to golf.

Jonathan Smith, executive director of GEO Sustainable Golf Foundation, said sustainability at scale requires leadership, innovation and collaboration from diverse stakeholders. He noted that Ecorobotix brings all those elements to the industry, providing a boost to missions aimed at helping more parts of golf engage, accelerate efforts and promote results.

A key focus of joint activities will be promoting the science of ultra-high precision applications to turf. The collaboration will examine how improved targeting at scale can deliver significant further reductions in chemical use and associated water and fertiliser inputs.

GEO Foundation has spent 20 years building a collaborative platform of partners, resources and expertise to advance golf's collective action and stewardship. The organisation provides non-profit resources to support sustainable practices across the golf industry globally.
