Polestar slashes EV emissions by 25 percent in four years

Polestar is proving that growth and sustainability can go hand in hand. The Swedish EV maker has cut the cradle-to-grave carbon footprint of its vehicles by nearly 25% since 2020, an aggressive leap toward climate neutrality by 2040.

From the Polestar 2 to its newer models, smarter design and cleaner production are driving down emissions, even as vehicle size and battery capacity increase. The Polestar 4 Long Range Dual Motor now emits 4.8 tonnes less CO₂ than its predecessor, despite being heavier and more powerful.
