An Taisce and the Ireland Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI) have joined forces to elevate Ireland’s ninth Climate Action Week, running 13–19 October 2025. The collaboration combines community engagement with project management expertise, aiming to broaden participation and impact.

Hundreds of events will take place nationwide, supported by a new low-carbon digital hub that empowers organisations and communities to showcase initiatives. PMI’s 3,500 members are also being mobilised to run sustainability-focused projects across schools, workplaces, and local communities.

The partnership reflects a broader trend: 75% of project management professionals report growing organisational interest in sustainability, with nearly half already leading projects in this space. With 90% believing project management is essential to achieving sustainability goals, the collaboration underscores the strategic value of structured leadership in climate action.
