Cleveland- and Dallas-based MKB Company has joined forces with Western Green, combining their operations to form one of North America’s largest integrated platforms for stormwater management and erosion control. Both firms are known for their roles in advancing green infrastructure and environmental protection technologies.
The merger brings together MKB’s expertise in pollutant removal systems and sustainable water management with Western Green’s engineered erosion and sediment control solutions. The unified platform will provide customers across the US and Canada with a wider range of environmental products under a single network.
With the backing of private equity firm Align Capital Partners (ACP), the combined business aims to accelerate growth through innovation, research, and expanded distribution. MKB, acquired by ACP in November 2024, has been rapidly scaling its operations and product offerings in the environmental control market.
According to Rick Costello, CEO of MKB Company, the partnership represents a strategic move to simplify service delivery in erosion control and stormwater management. “By uniting Western Green’s depth in erosion solutions with MKB’s innovation in pollutant removal and green infrastructure, we now bring truly differentiated scale and expertise to our customers,” he said.
The merger integrates leading brands such as Filtrexx SiltSoxx, ErosionTech, Western Excelsior, East Coast Erosion, and GreenLoxx, offering contractors, engineers, and municipalities access to a complete range of sustainable construction and soil protection materials.
Zach Snyder, CEO of Western Green, noted that the combination enhances capacity to deliver high-performance environmental control systems. “Now, customers can access a full range of best-in-class products—from erosion control to stormwater and pollutant removal—all backed by shared technical expertise and resources,” he said.
