LEGO accelerates sustainability with major material and energy shifts

LEGO Group has doubled its use of sustainable materials, reaching 50% in 2024—up from just 18% in 2023. With nearly half of these materials sourced through certified mass balance and renewable sources, the company is pushing the boundaries of sustainable production.

LEGO is also cutting emissions at scale, phasing out natural gas in Denmark, expanding solar capacity by 43% across key markets, and introducing geothermal energy in Hungary. These investments signal a strong commitment to science-based environmental targets and a low-carbon future.
