Looking back at the Green Awards 2026, IQUTECH has been named winner of the Green Small Organisation of the Year, recognised earlier this year for an innovative, circular economy-driven business model that extends the lifecycle of electronic and electrical equipment through repair, refurbishment, and remanufacturing, delivering measurable environmental impact at a scale that belies the organisation's size.

The award, announced on 24 February 2026 at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, reflects a company whose entire business model is built around environmental purpose rather than sustainability as an add-on to commercial operations.

As Ireland's largest telecoms returns management company, IQUTECH has positioned itself at the forefront of circular economy practice in the electrical and electronic equipment sector. Its reuse-first, repair-first philosophy keeps products in productive use for longer, preventing waste and retaining material value at a point in the product lifecycle where others would default to disposal. Impactful repair and take-back schemes give that philosophy practical expression, while clearly defined plans to scale the model signal an organisation with both the ambition and the operational capability to extend its impact further.

Collaboration with community and academic partners adds credibility and reach to the programme, reinforcing that IQUTECH's approach is not operating in isolation but is connected to the broader national and European effort to transition toward a more circular economy.

Judges were clear on what distinguished the submission. "Operating across the electronic sector, the organisation focuses on repairing, refurbishing, and remanufacturing products to extend resource lifecycles and prevent waste. With clearly defined plans to scale, impactful repair and take-back schemes, and strong collaboration with community and academic partners, this entrant exemplifies how a small organisation can deliver forward-thinking progress and real sustainability impact," the panel stated.

The Green Small Organisation of the Year recognises organisations with between 11 and 50 employees that can demonstrate environmental practice embedded as a core business strategy, backed by measurable outcomes and year-on-year comparisons. IQUTECH has met that standard comprehensively, offering a model that demonstrates how size is no barrier to meaningful circular economy leadership.

As the Green Awards near their two-decade milestone, IQUTECH joins a growing cohort of smaller organisations proving that some of Ireland's most forward-thinking sustainability work is being done by businesses that have made environmental purpose the foundation of how they operate.
