Dublin-based sustainability design and innovation consultancy Colectivo has added B Corp advisory to its service portfolio, following the completion of B Lab's B Corp Consultant training programme by CEO Laura McDermott, positioning the firm to guide Irish SMEs, social enterprises, and family businesses through the certification process.

As reported by Dublin Chamber, the expansion comes as B Lab introduced new B Corp Standards in 2025 alongside a move to independent third-party auditing, making the certification process significantly more structured and demanding for applicant organisations. B Corp certification, issued by B Lab, is widely regarded as one of the most rigorous standards of social and environmental business performance available globally.

Colectivo's B Corp advisory service covers all stages of the certification journey, from initial eligibility assessment and gap analysis through to audit preparation and implementation. The service draws on the consultancy's existing expertise in human-centred design, behavioural science, and stakeholder engagement to make the process accessible and practically embedded within client organisations.

Companies that are clients of Enterprise Ireland or their Local Enterprise Office may be eligible to use Green Transition funding to offset the cost of consultancy projects supporting B Corp certification and sustainability strategy, widening access to the service for smaller businesses.

The launch reflects growing demand among Irish businesses for structured, externally validated sustainability credentials as procurement requirements, investor expectations, and customer scrutiny of ESG performance continue to intensify across the domestic market. B Corp certification has gained significant traction among Irish businesses in recent years, with the number of certified companies in Ireland growing steadily as the standard becomes an increasingly recognised marker of responsible business practice.
