Amit Patel, Senior Environmental Manager at Winvic Construction, has been confirmed as a member of the judging panel for the Green Awards UK 2026, bringing over a decade of environmental management experience across the construction sector to a programme that celebrates sustainability leadership and environmental innovation across the United Kingdom.
Patel has built his career at the intersection of construction and environmental practice, holding senior positions across the industry and consistently working to embed environmental responsibility into the operational fabric of complex construction businesses.
At Winvic, he applies that expertise within one of the UK's most active construction environments, overseeing environmental performance across a portfolio of projects where the practical demands of delivery and the imperative to reduce environmental impact must be managed in tandem.
That day-to-day reality gives his panel contribution a grounding in applied sustainability that goes beyond policy and framework to the harder work of implementation.
The Green Awards UK, which builds on 15 years of recognising environmental excellence in Ireland, is entering its second year as a UK-wide programme.
Entries are assessed by an independent panel drawn from government, academia, and the private sector, with judges bound by strict confidentiality agreements and required to declare any conflicts of interest.
Patel joins a panel that includes Ghinwa Chammas, Global Director of Group Sustainability at BSI; Aditi Saxena, Sustainability Lead at Bond Bryan; Santiago Seage, CEO of Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure; and Nina Whitby, Digital Director at Greenhouse Communications.
The 2026 programme spans 28 categories covering the full range of sustainability activity, from Green Business of the Year, Green Leader, and ESG Best Performer of the Year to sector-specific awards in construction, energy, healthcare, life sciences, logistics, and financial services, alongside awards for sustainable water and energy achievement and excellence in waste management.
The Green Awards UK 2026 ceremony takes place on 25 September 2026 at the Park Plaza London Riverbank. Entries close on 26 June 2026.
