Green Leader 2021: Minister for the Environment, Climate & Communications, Eamon Ryan, TD

We are delighted to announce that this year’s recipient of the Green Leader award is the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications, Eamon Ryan, TD.

As a TD, he has been central to developing a political awareness of environmental issues in Ireland for almost 20 years.

In his role as Minister, he has brought forward legislation on climate change that will help set the agenda in Ireland in addressing this most important challenge for many years to come.

His consistency, courage, and political achievements over a lifetime of service in the environmental sphere is why Eamon Ryan is the Green Leader recipient for 2021 and we look forward to welcoming him to this year’s awards ceremony.

Minister Ryan will address the gathering at this year’s virtual awards ceremony on June 17th.

The Green Awards 2021 will take place on Thursday 17th June as a live digital broadcast hosted by critically acclaimed author, comedian and broadcaster, Colm O'Regan.
